This Friday January 20th America will have a new president and a new administration.  I ask this week that we take a moment each day to pray for the change in power, that it will be peaceful, that everyone will be safe.  I ask as the change takes place that we pray everyday for our new leaders and pray that God will bless The United States.  1 Timothy 2 1-7 tells us this

"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth".

Our leaders have to face challenges everyday, new threats everyday and they are going to need wisdom in making those decisions.  My prayer is that we will pray for our leaders and pray that when they need wisdom they will seek Godly wisdom and call out to Christ.  I also want to encourage you that Jesus loves you and as the scripture tells us that Jesus wants all to be saved and to know Him.  Let's pray that America and our leaders will come to the saving knowledge of truth.  Let's pray that America will stand with Israel and be there for them.  I also want to say that leaders will make mistakes and we need to hold them accountable.  There is one that doesn't make mistakes and that is Jesus and He is there for you and when you are in need, when you are hurting call out to Him.

Finally the election is over and many folks are upset that the person they voted for didn't win.  It's time for our country to united and it's time for our country to come together and pray for our new leaders because if they are successful we as American's have a chance to be successful.  Also remember that our final home is not this home that we have a greater home and we are not of this world.  Let's look forward to that day that we get to meet Jesus face to face.  God Bless you and God Bless America.
